This innovative partnership provides students in certain programs, after graduating as associates, with a smooth and easy pathway to USM-compatible programs. Please note that if you have already defined where you want to change after graduation, you should meet with someone from that university or university to make sure you have chosen the right courses. We have transfer contracts with the following schools: Students enrolled in regionally accredited higher education institutions can plan for their future at the LMU by following the information contained in the transfer contracts and respecting our requirements and transfer deadlines. The following schools/higher education institutions have agreements with the LMU on the portability of their courses. In general, courses can be transferred to the LMU in three ways: it is highly recommended to meet regularly with an SMC consultant, as information and transfer requirements change. Students who wish to pass on must know which courses are taken at Santa Monica College are accepted at the university/university they wish to attend. SMC maintains hundreds of informal agreements with other colleges across the country to accept transfer course credits to a particular university program.

An Admission Transfer Agreement (TAA) between Saint Mary`s College and a Community College guarantees admission to students who sign a contract, enter into approved transferable courses and meet the minimum admission criteria set out in the agreement. The contract is available through your Community College`s Transfer Center. A degree associate at SMC gives you options. The courses are designed to be easily transposed into a large number of higher education institutions. Or, like many students, you may find that you have to work to earn additional education income. With your Degree partner on hand, you`re entitled to better-paying jobs. While some students choose to visit SMCC, graduate and transfer with a transfer joint contract, others simply choose a few classes that can easily transfer to another location.
